Travel diary:Les Arc 1950, accommodation Le Prince des Cimes

After a journey of about 4 hours from Milano to our destination, our story continues in the heart of the French Alps at Les Arc 1950, a dreamy village surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. Here, on the step between the real and the magical, we discovered not only an oasis of cool but also a haven of French hospitality.

The 1950s Arc

Les Arc 1950, the picturesque village situated at an altitude of over 1950 metres in the heart of the French Alps, is built in a traditional style with great attention to detail, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

This resort opened in 2003, is the newest of all Les Arcs resorts and is distinguished by its exclusive four-star residences, which offer elegant suites for visitors.

Les Arc 1950 is part of the vast Paradiski ski area, which also includes the resorts of Les Arcs and La Plagne, with access to over 425 km of slopes. But Les Arc 1950 isn’t just magical in ski season.

The village also offers a wide range of activities in the summer season: from spas and wellness centres to shops, restaurants and bars where you can enjoy local cuisine or relax with a glass of local wine after a day of hiking and walking.

The lively and welcoming central square is framed by colourful buildings with balconies adorned with lights or flowers, which blend in perfectly with the wild mountain backdrop.

In this pedestrian resort, visitors can comfortably walk, while cars are safely parked in the underground car parks of the residences throughout the holiday.

The Prince of the Peaks

Le Prince des Cimes, the hotel where we stayed, was our centre of relaxation and comfort. With spacious suites and a privileged view of snowy valleys and ridges, it provided the ideal setting to recharge our batteries after days full of adventure.

Utilities and important information

Here at Le Prince des Cimes, we found everything we needed for an unforgettable stay: heated swimming pools, spa and sauna for cool summer evenings and a hospitable team who provided us with all the information we needed to explore the region. From the pictures we captured, you can see that every corner of this place exuded warmth and comfort, and the warm summer daylight filtering through the mountain peaks bathed us in a fairytale atmosphere.

Walking the cobbled streets, we felt like we were in a fairytale where time seems to stand still. Les Arc 1950, with all its modern amenities dressed in a rustic decor, offered us not just shelter, but an unforgettable authentic experience.

I look forward to sharing more about this gem of the French Alps in the articles to come.
