Stranger Things, a strange story in a new series

Stranger Things.The story is set in Hawking Indiana in 1983 and is based on the disappearance of young Will Byers and the search for him by his three unusual friends, along with his family and the local sheriff. But instead of a classic story, they go through a chain of very strange and equally inexplicable events over the course of the series. The whole atmosphere has a strong dark 80s tinge from the very beginning, continuing with a great soundtrack to accentuate exactly that and continuing with the flashing neon lights in the opening title of the seriesi, all of which gradually lead to a heightening of the overall suspense that builds along the way.

The series focuses on the relationship between parents and their children, between best and inseparable friends but even contains a touch of romance between several characters. You are taken on a journey that begins with a parent’s worst nightmare, the loss of a child, and continues with the tenacious resistance of those who rely on the help of friends and cling ephemerally to a hope.

Stranger Things also features a very special supernatural environment and a very well-defined unreal creature. The Duffer brothers, the creators of the series, know perfectly how to dose the tension without overdoing it. You’re fascinated from the very first episode and sci-fi thriller fans will fall in love with the whole superbly crafted 80’s atmosphere and obviously the supernatural creature this series contains.
