Elba island: Porto Azzuro

The town of Porto Azzuro, a pearl of the southeastern coast of Elba island.
Very beautiful, suggestive and charmful, the central town square with the little
recreation harbour literally catches your heart.
The local beaches are very beautiful and clean. A few images with a part of the jewellery of Elba island.
Porto Azzuro is a town of 3211 inhabitants in the province of Livorno. Situated on the southeastern coast of Elba island, it is bathed by the Piombino Channel
Porto Azzuro has a view on Mola Bay, the largest bay on the eastern coast of Elba with a well protected harbour,
where many ferries and tourism boats dock.
The name of Porto Azzuro comes from the colour of the sea that is of a true blue. Initially the town was called Porto Longone.
