Bucharest – Paris of the Eastern Europe

Romania has always been my second home. Friends and people with big hearts who I met during my student life, I was made to feel so. I always welcome back to Romania to see my friends, to revisit the places that charmed me.
Because a lot of friends moved in Bucharest after graduation, while I flew to Milan, so every time I go to Moldova, I choose the route via Bucharest, where I make a halt for 2-3 days.
I was always fascinated by Bucharest. This town seems to have more faces, but I’ll stop at two: the day and the night. Day seems a city they went through the war battalions, and at night it turns into a different city, same people seem different, more modern and elegant.

Bucharest-the capital of Romania– is a bustling city with a lot of movements, with impressive architecture inspired by different historical periods: from the socialist to the neo-gothic, with ancient streets and leafy parks huge and you can see only in Bucharest house near the gutter, on the same street is the luxury of a villa glued to a hut Gypsy.

Bucharest, called the Paris of the East, it is now very different from the stereotypes of the past and fails to impress tourists and visitors.
However, currently, Bucharest seems to be the cheapest city in the whole of Europe, thanks to this aspect, Europeans are choosing to spend some weekends in the Romanian capital, and not only, but generally in Romania.
What can visit and see in Bucharest?
Every time I get to Bucharest, I have to make a walk around the city by car, especially at night.

Bucharest under the light of lanterns is a real gold jewelry with diamonds. Huge stately buildings and boulevards take you into a magical world.
A building that emanates like a breath of mystery and fascination is the Palace of Parliament or as it is also known as the People’s House. This building, built by Dictator Nicolae Ceausescu, Bucharest dominates today and requires proudly in front of strangers. It is the second largest building after the Pentagon in Washington, with over 340 thousand square meters, under which stranded neighborhoods foundations and many other important buildings to be demolished to create space that would occupy People’s House.

From the neo-Gothic architecture socialist, Bucharest’s historical center, called Old belt. Here are several valuable buildings: the Old Center Church, Cart with beer, Stavropoulos Monastery, built in 1724, today is a jewel that holds ancient religious texts and objects recovered from demolished churches during the regime.
Art, history and culture, all last through Romanian Athenaeum Auditorium, a concert hall, built in neoclassical style, which hosts performances by George Enesco.

It’s impossible to get bored in Bucharest. And in the moments when the soul asks for some quiet, city parks are built in a way to thank all the people.

The most important parks are: Cişmigiu, downtown, Herăstrău Park, the largest park in the city and is located in the north of the city. Here you can find peace in nature, greenery, clean air and one lake to fill you with positive energy.
