Fashion movies every woman must see

Coco Before Chanel (2009)

Who hasn’t heard of Coco Chanel? But how many of you know the history of this brand and the story of the woman who first wore trousers and how she redefined elegance and style by taking inspiration from men’s outfits. This is a biopic, a film about success, about how ideas are born and how the pinnacle is reached. If you haven’t seen it yet then I highly recommend it, it’s well worth it.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961)

Breakfast at Tiffany’s I’ve also recommended here, it’s an old film, but a film with style, a film about sophistication and a lot of elegance, it’s the style of the main protagonist Holly. With a childlike air, Holly is very ambitious, she knows what she wants out of life, she loves luxury and wears the most beautiful Givenchy outfits and accessories, she dreams of marrying a rich gentleman, but her life is turned upside down when she meets Paul. It remains to find out who Paul is and see the story between them.

The Devil Wears Prada (2006)

The Devil Wears Prada is a comedy about the world of New York fashion. The film centers on a young woman, Andrea “Andy” Sachs, an aspiring journalist and recent graduate of Northwestern University. She becomes the personal assistant to Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), editor-in-chief of the fashion magazine Runaway. And from there the main protagonist’s world begins to change, at first even though she can’t stand her colleagues, she is forced to change her style of dress, to dress more and more stylishly, in order to cope with the tasks at work.

Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009)

And this time we’re talking about a journalist. Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher) is a journalist for a gardening magazine, but dreams of working for the famous fashion magazine Alette. Rebecca is a shopaholic, beautiful, independent and ambitious. The film is an exciting adventure about this young journalist and her journey to her long-desired job.

Valentino: The Last Emperor (2008)

Another biographical film about a great female fashion personality, namely Valentino.

Valentino Garavani is the world-renowned designer who has created dresses for the world’s biggest stars. In 2007, after a 45-year career, Valentino announced his retirement, so Matt Tyernauer invites us behind the scenes of Valentino’s success with this documentary film.
